If you’re drawing a simple shape such as a rectangle or star, you might want to draw it in perspective from the outset. For something more complex, drawing in 2D space first and then bringing it into perspective might be easier. If you have a complex shape that you simply want to make vanish in perspective, you can achieve that by attaching existing shapes directly to your perspective view. The tools in Adobe Illustrator give you freedom to draw objects in perspective all three ways mentioned above.
